FAQ’S

In BioThane® USA’s terms:
“BioThane® is the brand name of all coated webbing products made by BioThane Coated Webbing Corp. It’s basically a polyester webbing with a TPU or PVC coating that makes it more durable, waterproof, easy to clean and weldable”.

Beta® 520 Standard BioThane®, in 16mm and 25mm.

Beta® 520 Super Heavy BioThane®, in 38mm.

BioThane collars are effortless to clean. Water and soap will have them looking brand new in a matter of minutes.

BioThane® is highly durable and resistant to wear and tear. It can withstand rough handling, outdoor activities, and exposure to the elements, ensuring a long lifespan for your dog’s collar.

1″ strap has a 1,000 lb. break strength and a 1/2″ strap has a 500 lb. break strength.

BioThane® is dour- resistant: A little fluff, a lot of fact. The BioThane® is non- porous and won’t retain any odours. However, your mutt’s everyday build-up of dirt, oils etc, will generate a layer of gunk that may produce a whiff. Give the dog collar a wash and the stink layer will vanish.

BioThane® is Waterproof: 100% fact. BioThane® is an excellent choice for dogs who love water activities or live in rainy climates. It won’t absorb water, become soggy, or lose its strength and shape when exposed to moisture.

BioThane® is non-toxic
Fact, with some irresponsible fluff. BioThane® follows REACH, CPSIA2008 and PROP65 regulatory guidelines.  Is non-toxic to animals and humans when used as intended. How ever if used inappropriately and not for its intended use, BioThane® can be a health and safety hazard.

BioThane® is Fade- Resistant: This one has some fluff to it. While BioThane® is more resilient to fading. DO NOT PUT ANYTHING WITH DEET on YOUR BIOTHANE®.

BioThane® is Vegan: A bit Fluffy. While BioThane® is a great alternative to leather, it is not vegan certified.
